Comic Relief, Smear campaign (1992)

This is another one of those "aid" projects. The money from this recording went to mainly Education and Health care in Africa.

On this one Bruce sings the old Alice Cooper classic "Elected". The band backing him up was a couple of guys called "Taste". They would later be known under the name Skin.

The single A-side has a version of the song during which Rowan Atkinson (a.k.a. Mr Bean) has a monologue about what he would do if he ran for prime minister in England and won. The B-side has the track without Mr Bean's mumblings.

It was recorded and produced at Battery studios in London by Chris Tsangarides (who produced "Tattooed millionaire") and was released by London Records April 4 1992. It peaked at No.9 in the British charts and remained in the chart for 5 weeks.

Strangely enough, this track is also appears on the soundtrack to the "Mr Bean" movie, although it's not in the movie at all.
