Some would argue that this release doesn't even feature Bruce properly. The only appearance he does in it is a loud scream.

Wheatus had a big hit with the song "Teenage dirtbag" in which Iron Maiden is mentioned in the lyrics;

This might have been the link to getting Maiden frontman Bruce to contribute to one of their subsequent singles "Wannabe gangstar".

The single was released on in January 2001(?) Sony records (cat. no. 672127 2) in the US. It spent five weeks in the UK charts peaking at number 22.
