Tribuzy - Execution (2005)

Execution is a project put together by brazillian musician Renato Tibuzy (ex. Thoten) which features a bunch of guest musicians from the metal community, such as Michael Kiske, Ralf Scheepers, Roy Z, Roland Grapow, Chris Dale and Bruce Dickinson among many others.

After unsuccessfully trying to get Bruce aboard for almost four years Renato finally managed to get demos through and meet Bruce to draw the plans for the recording. The vocals were recorded at the same time that Bruce did the vocals for "Tyranny of souls" at Roy Z's place in LA in 2004.

Bruce's contribution is to the song "Beast in the light". Renato wrote Bruce's part of the song with Bruce's vocals in mind so finally managing to get him to record it was a great relief. Roy Z is sharing guitar solo duties with Kiko Loureiro (Angra) and Chris Dale plays bass. Other musicians are Renato himself on vocals, Gustavo Silveira (Nordheim), rhythm guitars and Marco Barzo on drums.

It was released on June 22 2005 in Asia and South America and a month later in Europe and the US.

Tribuzy - Execution Live Reunion (2007)

In conjunction with the Execution album a few dates were played in Brazil featuring many of the contributors on the album, including Bruce. Two nights at the Credicard Hall in São Paulo in November 2005 were recorded for a live album and DVD. It features special guest appearances by Bruce, Mat Sinner (Primal Fear), Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear), Roy Z, Chris Dale, Roland Grapow (Masterplan, ex-Helloween) and Kiko Loureiro (Angra).

Apart from “Beast in the Light” Bruce performed Maiden’s “The Evil That Men Do”, “Be Quick or Be Dead” and “Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter” as well as “Tears of the dragon”. Bruce curiously requested the latter to be performed as the version recorded for the Keith Olsen-project featured on the “Shoot all the Clowns”-single. Bruce also got behind the drumkit and jammed a version of ZZ Top’s “Tush”. However, none of these songs, apart from “Beast in the light” were released on the live CD. The DVD features “Beast in the Light” and “Tears of the Dragon”. The other songs were likely cut for contractual reasons.

The CD was produced by Roy Z and Renato Tribuzy and mixed by Roy Z at Mountain View studio, in Los Angeles.The livealbum (SPV CD 64682 ) and DVD (LM275 DVD )were released in 2007.
