Anni Thulin

Vocals

Anni's interest in music was kindled when she was a child sitting at the piano, trying to play melodies she knew from television or radio. Her older sister was also playing the piano, and Anni was always trying to imitate the pieces her sister was working on. Anni started to take piano lessons when she was seven years old and soon her teacher recognised Anni's ability to sing and advised her to apply to a school specialised in music and vocal training, which she did. Anni is still studying music at a school in Stockholm.

Anni's musical preferences were largely influenced by her sister's. Early on she grew affectionate of the music of bands like Nirvana and Ebba Grön. In her early teens she discovered the music of Bakersfield quintet Korn, and ever since that her interest in similar music has grown.

Anni had another band during a short period of time, but all the band members soon lost interest in the project due to lack progress. After nine years of playing the piano, she decided to focus on developing her vocal abilities. She is also a member of a church choir that has performed in Hungary and Austria among other places.

Anni listens alot to (hed)p.e., Incubus, Korn, Deftones, Sublime, No Doubt (their early recordings), Primus, System of a Down and Radiohead.

Recomended songs:
(hed)p.e. - Ground
Sublime - Summertime
The Doors - Riders on the Storm
Primus - Jerry was a Race Car Driver
System of a Down - Spiders
Radiohead - Paranoid Android
Deftones - My own Summer (Shove It)
Incubus - Make Yourself

Jonas Hansson

Guitar

In his childhood, Jonas had a go at the violin, but after a couple of years it was put aside. He first picked up the guitar at age 14 in aspiring to play Nirvana rip-offs. Bands has come and gone, none of which been very fruitful and none of which are worth mentioning.

Jonas first record was Europe's "The Final Countdown"; however it wasn't until Guns 'n' Roses' "Use Your Illusion" records he got into music for real. The nineties rock scene with bans such Nirvana and Alice in Chains soon crossed his way. As did bands from the Swedish 'skateboard scene' like Mindjive, Refused and Breach. In his late teens Jonas discovered Pink Floyd through his parents record collection. Since, the band has remained one of his personal favourites. Generally, a good word to describe Jonas' musical preferences is 'varied'.

Recomended listening:
Alice in Chains - Facelift
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
Beatles - The Beatles
Black Flag - Loose Nut
Breach - Kollapse
Godflesh - Selfless
Guns 'n' Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Bo Hansson - Sagan om Ringen
Kraftwerk - Electric Café
Old Man Gloom - Seminar III: Zozobra
Pink Floyd - Meddle
Rollins Band - Life Time
Weezer - Weezer (1994)

Mattias Reinholdsson

Bass

The first band Mattias listened to was The Beatles but he soon gained interest in heavy metal bands such as Saxon and MSG. Eventually Iron Maiden was to become his number one favourite group.

He got his first own guitar at the age of 12 and started playing on his own. 16 years old he formed the band Aeiur together with some friends. They had a couple of gigs but the bassplayer was terrified by the thought of performing in front of an audience so they split the band after a while.

Then came Oberon. Another collection of friends and where he first gained knowledge in the ambition of their young guitarist Per Broddesson. Mattias was the guitarist/vocalist in this band but ended up playing drums on all rehearsals. Oberon lasted for about a year and a half before they agreed to call it a day.

He listens to everything from Tori Amos to Meshuggah.

Henrik Johansson

Drums & Percussion

Henrik's introduction to music came through his mother's Abba records. In school he, like everybody else, played the recorder and would also for a breif period be taking piano lessons, though fairly unsuccessful.

At the age of 10 he bought his first own record and this marked the beginning of a flourishing interest in rock music. By 12 he got his first drumkit and started playing along to Iron Maiden records, trying to figure out the essence of drumming. He still hasn't been able to do that...

He formed his first band together with some friends in late 1989. He played in a couple of local bands whilst writing his own material on the side and after getting to know (then bassist) Stefan Zell during a couple of months as a guitarist in the band "Arachnofobia" the two of them decided that they should team up for musical adventures and founded the project band Pornographical Harmony.

After meeting Ulf Nygårds in 1993 he was introduced to Symphonic music from the 70s which, in many ways, changed his way of listening to music. He tends to listen to more or less totally obscure bands like Van Der Graaf Generator and Gåte, but also to Björk and Radiohead. A wide range of tastes but very particular on what he fancies. If that sounds like a paradox, you should know his thing with eggs and kaviar...
