Extreme Championchip Wrestling Compilation "Extreme Music" (1998)

On October 27th 1998 Slab Recordings/CMC International released a compilation-CD with contemporary top hard rock/heavy metal artists covering different metal-classics. The record was tied into ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) and the songs on it was supposed to become the theme songs for many of the ECW "stars"

On this album Bruce covers Scorpion's "The Zoo" which can be found on their "Animal Magnetism" album from 1978.

He is accompanied by Roy Z who plays guitar and bass, while the drums are made on a drum machine. The lyrics Bruce is singing differs from the original Scorpions song. It's unclear if this is a conscious move or unintentional.

The track was recorded at Silver Cloud studios, CA, and mixed by Roy Z splitting the mixing credits with Joe Floyd. Released in the US by CMC international (CMC 06706-86262-2).

The European release (above) has a different sleeve to the US release and feature slightly different bands.
